The process of transformation is at the crux of Zara Collins’ contemporary art practice. Her work is bound together by ideas of reinterpretation, appropriation and reinvention. Zara collects ‘everyday’ objects and unusual source material to transform into wearable pieces for the body. A variety of techniques, processes and styles are utilized to create her unique, individual jewellery & small objects.

In addition to exhibiting new work regularly, both nationally and internationally, Zara is a freelance curator and is currently studying a Bachelor of Visual Arts Education.
